Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti on April 12 nominated Susana Reyes, who currently serves as vice president of the Board of Water and Power Commission, to the Board of Public Works.
Prior to joining the Water and Power Board of Commissioners, which oversees the LADWP, Reyes served as the director of the utility’s Low-Income Customer Access program, which provides low-income ratepayers with access to financial assistance, discounts and rebates. Reyes is also founder and CEO of AgilEngines LLC, an advocacy and consulting firm focused on community outreach and civic engagement strategies.
Reyes previously served as a senior sustainability analyst for Garcetti, helping to oversee the implementation of Los Angeles’ first Sustainable City pLAn.
She also helped secure a $1.7 million grant for the city from the California Air and Resources Board to help launch BlueLA, an electric vehicle car sharing pilot program.
