Enenstein Pham & Glass LLP managing partner David Glass will serve as both the returning Alzheimer’s Association California Southland Chapter Board of Directors chair and as the chapter’s first-ever Purple Spring Gala chair.

While the chapter normally allows board chairs to serve just one, two-year term, the board and chapter voted to retain Glass in his position, as Alzheimer’s is on the rise in California.

Glass was first appointed board chair in 2019. However, three months into his tenure, the pandemic, a continued need for a more diverse representation in the Alzheimer’s services and research communities and a downturn in fundraising opportunities, inspired him not just to build, but to establish the monumental task of growth through it all.

Under Glass’s leadership, the chapter launched more than 40 online and telephone support groups and educational classes and social engagement opportunities as well as free, interactive  research webinars.

He helped heighten the awareness of the Alzheimer’s Association 24/7 Helpline at (800)272-3900. Further, Glass helped launch virtual advocacy programs that allowed association volunteers to ensure caregiver-related legislation and dementia funding was a continuing matter of focus in Sacramento and in Washington, D.C.

Glass twice oversaw annual Walks to End Alzheimer’s and took on the role of the chapter’s Purple Spring Gala chair, launching the first chapter Gala in Hollywood.
