BookFest offers virtual programs for readers and writers
The BookFest returns for its 5th biannual virtual event on April 2-3, featuring authors, literary experts and speakers in panel discussions and conversations. The first day features information geared toward readers, and the second day offers content for writers.
Suzie Newell, a nurse anesthesiologist who is author of “The Path 365,” will give the keynote speech on April 1. Author Dave Chesson, founder of Kindlepreneur.com, will give the keynote speech on April 2.
The wonders of the universe are a theme in BookFest. Skeptic Michael Shermer will discuss UFOs with science fiction entertainment expert Paul Hynek and Desireé Duffy, founder of the BookFest. Dennis E. Taylor will talk about the “Bobiverse” and his popular book series with moderator Jenna Busch. Other featured writers include Joel Eisenberg, Deborah Herman, Angela Johnson, Andy Ross, Katharine Sands and Irwin Zucker. Additionally, Brave New Writer and the Critiki-Bar will return, and the first BookFest Awards winners will be announced.
The BookFest is presented by Bookstagrammers and Books That Make You, and is produced by Black Chateau Enterprises. Attendees can browse virtual booths and a Books Page showcasing works by the participants.
