The Greater Miracle Mile Chamber of Commerce is holding its monthly luncheon meeting on Thursday, Feb. 10, at 11:30 a.m., via Zoom.
Tyler Griffin, of L.A. Sanitation and Environment, will make a presentation on how the city is addressing California Senate Bill 1383, a new statewide law on organic food waste recycling. SB 1383 required cities to conduct education and outreach on organic recycling with all residents, businesses, waste haulers, solid waste facilities, food banks and food recovery organizations. Information on the law is available by visiting calrecycle. ca.gov/organics /slcp/education.
People can email questions about SB 1383, recycling and composting to firstname.lastname@example.org, and Griffin will answer them at the meeting.
A round table discussion with members and a raffle is also included. Those wishing to promote a business during the meeting and donate to the raffle should email Chris Devlin at email@example.com.
