El Capitan presents special engagements of 20th Century Studios’ “The Princess Bride” from Feb. 11-12, and Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” from Feb. 13-14, as part of the Disney+ Date Nite Valentine’s Day series.
A $50 Valentine’s Dinner and a Movie package is also being offered, which includes a reserved ticket to “The Princess Bride” or “Beauty and the Beast” at 7 p.m. with Ghirardelli chocolates and dinner at Miceli’s Italian Restaurant in Hollywood either at 5:30 p.m. before the movie, or 9:15 p.m. after the film.
“The Princess Bride” is a classic comedy-romance that follows a peasant farmhand as he battles bumbling outlaws and an evil prince to win the hand of his one true love.
“Beauty and the Beast” features the independent Belle and the Beast, who has the soul of a prince. Disney’s 1991 classic was the first animated feature film in the history of the Academy Awards to be nominated for Best Picture.
Daily showtimes are 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. The El Capitan Theatre has enhanced health and safety measures in place for guests and staff.
