The Los Angeles County Department of Health Services has expanded its Pick-up Testing Kit program with an additional 7,000 free COVID-19 testing kits available daily at county library sites, including the West Hollywood Library, 625 N. San Vicente Blvd.

The program offers a PCR test kit, which people can use to self-test and return for processing. The kits are not rapid antigen tests. Residents will be notified of their test results within 24-48 hours. Pick-up testing kits will be available without an appointment until daily supplies are exhausted.

Approximately 500 PCR test kits will be available daily at the libraries. Text kits are provided on a first-come, first-served basis, limit one kit per person or two kits per family. People should use the kits immediately and return them to the site where they were picked up.

The PCR tests require individuals to register online with a smartphone. Residents unable to self-register or self-test can schedule an appointment at a different county testing location.
