A 27-year-old man was arrested on Dec. 20 after he was found inside a mansion in the 900 block of Bel Air Road.

Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Drake Madison said armed private security guards located and detained the man inside the residence at approximately 9:30 p.m. and called police. Officers arrived and arrested the suspect, who was identified as Carl Davis, of Los Angeles.

Madison did not know how the suspect entered the residence or who owns the property. According to media reports, the sprawling property includes a 38,000-square-foot house with 12 bedrooms.

Madison said Davis was booked on suspicion of residential burglary.
