On Dec. 18, Councilman Mitch O’Farrell, seventh from left, joined world figure skating champion Tai Babilonia and the LAPD Hockey Club to host kids from the Union Rescue Mission at the holiday ice rink at Dodger Stadium. Many of the young guests had never set foot on the ice before. The 80-by-60-foot ice rink was open through Christmas as part of the Dodgers Holiday Festival but has now closed.
