U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Burbank) on Dec. 13 highlighted the importance of investments in the Congressional bipartisan infrastructure bill, including improvements for roads, bridges, highways, public transit and passenger rail.

Schiff joined state Sen. Anthony J. Portantino (D-La Cañada Flintridge), Assemblywoman Laura Friedman (D-Glendale) and Metro CEO Stephanie Wiggins, as well as Glendale Mayor Paula Devine and Glendale City Councilman Ardy Kassakhian, to discuss the infrastructure bill.

“In Los Angeles County, decades of lagging infrastructure investment has resulted in crumbling roads and highways, aging and incomplete rail systems, and many challenges facing public transit, creating daily headaches and, worse still, barriers to secure employment, affordable housing and quality time with our families,” Schiff said. “That’s why I’m so proud to have supported President Biden’s bipartisan infrastructure package and prouder still to share some of the ways that this package will improve our quality of life.”
