Assemblymember Richard Bloom, 50th District, in partnership with Los Angeles City Councilwoman Nithya Raman, 4th District, are hosting a winter clothing drive.

The drive will benefit youth experiencing homelessness at the nonprofit My Friend’s Place.

The drive, which runs through Dec. 17, is collecting gently used and laundered clothing, such as sweatpants and sweatshirts, adult sizes medium through XXL. Other requested items include umbrellas, ponchos, rain jackets, beanies, gloves and other casual clothing items.

All donations are welcome, but the greatest need is for clothing items sizes extra large and up.

Donations can be dropped off at Bloom’s office at 2800 28th St., Suite 105, between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Donations can be dropped at Raman’s office at 6501 Fountain Ave. from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
