Los Angeles Police Department investigators remain tight-lipped about a shooting aboard a Metro Red Line subway train in Hollywood on Oct. 10 that left a woman dead.
Police received reports about the homicide at approximately 5:10 a.m. and found the victim on a train that stopped at the Hollywood/Vine Red Line subway station after the shooting. Witnesses to the shooting told investigators that the male suspect appeared agitated, was pacing on the train and argued with the victim, police said. When the train stopped, the suspect exited, walked up to Hollywood Boulevard and fled on foot, authorities added.
On Monday, authorities released security camera footage of the suspect and said he is Latino, in his mid 20s and was wearing a blue jacket, shorts, white shoes, black baseball hat and blue surgical mask. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The case is being investigated by the LAPD’s West Bureau Homicide Unit,.
