The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles and Los Angeles Football Club collaborated on to celebrate diversity and culture at the LAFC vs. Seattle Sounders match on Oct. 26.

“Korean Culture Night at LAFC” was highlighted by a free pregame concert featuring the K-pop breakout band P1Harmony in the group’s first-ever U.S. performance. There were more than 8,000 fans on Christmas Tree Lane who watched the concert and participated in a calligraphy event provided by KCCLA.

To add to the excitement of the game, director KCCLA Wijin Park made a special appearance as the honorary falconer. One of the team’s four falcons was released for a pregame flight at the center of the field, hunting a lure of the opponent’s crest. Keeoho from P1Harmony sang the national Korean anthem, “Aegukga.”

“It’s amazing to see so many K-pop fans showing support for this long-awaited K-pop performance,” Park said. “KCCLA will continue to build bridges between Korea and the U.S. through diverse cultural programs.”
