The Los Angeles Zoo will go wild this October with the return of Boo at the L.A. Zoo.
Featuring Halloween decor, a spooky stroll and an extinct-animal graveyard, the zoo will offer fun for the whole family Daily fun will be offered from 10 a.m. to 4 pm. In The Lair, zoo-goers will come face-to-face with rare snakes, poisonous frogs and venomous lizards.
Stroll down a mysterious path of spooky décor for some hair-raising photo opportunities. In the extinct animal graveyard, honor departed species and learn how to save at-risk wildlife.
Weekends will include special animal feedings and merry-not-scary entertainment. Watch as a mad scientist conjures up spine-tingling experiments in the “Spooktacular Science Show.” Magician Brandon Scott will take viewers to the funny side of the twilight zone with “AbracaZoo!”
Children can make a creepy spider at a craft station or watch animals enjoy seasonal treats. Education stations will offer frightful facts about California critters and the sharp fangs of carnivores.
On Oct. 23, 24, 30 and 31, children can trick-or-treat at various stations throughout the zoo. Costumes are encouraged.
