Grand Park’s Sunday Sessions, which showcases Los Angeles’ finest house music curators, will present its final event on from 3 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 29.
The free outdoor summer dance party features a line-up of DJs that celebrates the contribution of L.A. artists to the American-originated, globally-embraced art form of house music.
Deejay Clifton, Liz O., Riley More and Loopdropkid will spin an all-vinyl set for the ultimate summer party soundtrack. Hosted by KG Superstar, the summer’s final Sunday Sessions will honor the sounds that served as a precursor to house and dance music with a day dedicated to northern soul, funk and disco.
Guests must wear face coverings when entering performance, dancing and other communal areas during outdoor events in Grand Park; these areas will delineate where crowds could form on the dance floor and concert spaces.
The free event is open to all ages. Guests can picnic or purchase food from food trucks. However, no outside alcohol is permitted in the park.
Grand Park is also partnering with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health to host a free, mobile vaccination clinic during the event. Walk-ups are encouraged, but guests can pre-schedule a vaccine appointment.
Grand Park’s Sunday Sessions will be held on the park’s Performance Lawn, just north of Hill Street. Grand Park is located at 200 N. Grand Ave.
