The Skirball Cultural Center has announced the return of live, in-person concerts with the 24th season of the free Sunset Concerts series.
This year’s lineup features veteran and rising talents in the L.A. music scene who exemplify the Skirball’s goals to pursue justice, build community, show kindness and honor memories. The performers are influenced by a variety of musical styles including son jarocho, ska, Afrobeat and indie rock. The schedule includes Quetzal on Aug. 5; Run River North on Aug. 12; the Delirians on Aug. 19; and Extra Ancestral on Aug. 26.
“We are extremely delighted to welcome back audiences through the power of live music to once again gather as a community in the Skirball’s outdoor courtyard,” said Jen Maxcy, director of programs for the Skirball Cultural Center. “We are especially honored to present four of L.A.’s most sought after and influential bands. This moment is the perfect time to amplify the music of our own city and to celebrate part of what makes Los Angeles so special.”
The concerts are free, but RSVP is required. For information, visit skirball.org.
