
The church plans to ring the bell every time someone is vaccinated during the event on Aug. 29.
Hollywood United Methodist Church is holding a free vaccination clinic on Sunday, Aug. 29, from noon to 5 p.m., and will ring the church bell every time a vaccination is administered.
Known as “Ring for the Vaccine,” the event will include a launch ceremony with Los Angeles City Councilwoman Nithya Raman, 4th District, and Hollywood United Methodist Church Associate Pastor Bridie Roberts. Actress and Project Angel Food Trustee Pauley Perrette, who lost her father to COVID-19 on Jan. 20, recorded a video message to encourage participation that can be viewed by visiting drive.google.com/file/d/1gTiclnqx2fRmISdzd0thvvQ_ApUuLv-Q/view.
Anyone 12 and older is welcome to receive a vaccine at Hollywood United Methodist Church, 6817 Franklin Ave. Those ages 12-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For information, visit vaccinatelacounty.com.
