Activist and actress Jane Fonda has endorsed West Hollywood Mayor Lindsey Horvath’s campaign for Los Angeles County Supervisor, 3rd District.
“We need leaders who are unafraid to confront our biggest problems with bold action, which is why I am thrilled to endorse Lindsey Horvath for Los Angeles County Supervisor,” Fonda said. “Time and again, she has demonstrated her commitment to the environment, social equity, working families and of course, women’s empowerment. She’s passionate, she knows how to get the job done and she’ll be a phenomenal leader for Los Angeles County now and in the future.”
“Ms. Fonda has navigated a male-dominated industry, taken on the toughest of issues in the fight for justice, and used her voice and platform to make a difference for the most vulnerable and marginalized on our planet,” Horvath said. “I am honored to receive Jane Fonda’s endorsement, and I look forward to working with her to end violence against women and girls, protect our environment and create a better quality of life to every single Angeleno.”
Horvath was elected to the West Hollywood City Council in 2015, and previously served from 2009 to 2011 .She is running to succeed current Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl.
