The Beverly Hills Police Department held a sobriety and driver’s license checkpoint from 9 p.m. on Aug. 6 to 2 a.m. the following morning on Santa Monica Boulevard between Crescent and Canon drives, and one motorist was arrested for driving under the influence.
Police screened 275 of the 956 cars that passed through the checkpoint. Five motorists were also cited for failure to have a driver’s license or driving with a suspended or revoked license.
The Beverly Hills Police Department will hold another DUI and driver’s license checkpoint, in the near future, as well as DUI saturation patrols.
