In response to a current increase in cases of COVID-19, the Melrose Action Neighborhood Watch and Los Angeles City Councilman Paul Koretz, 5th District, will hold a vaccination clinic on Tuesday, Aug. 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Poinsettia Park.
The vaccination clinic will be held in lieu of the traditional National Night Out Against Crime event usually held annually at Poinsettia Park.
Melrose Action Neighborhood Watch is partnering with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to host the clinic. The goal is to administer vaccines to at least 200 people. First doses of the Pfizer vaccine or single doses of the Johnson & Johnson will be available. A follow-up vaccination clinic for a second dose of the Pfizer shot, and another Johnson & Johnson single dose option, will be held at the park on Tuesday Aug. 24.
The vaccine clinic will be held on Poinsettia Park’s south lawn, 7371 Willoughby Ave. Health professionals will be on site to answer questions. Walk-ups are welcome and encouraged. Reservations can also be made by visiting myturn.ca.gov.
