The Los Angeles Parks Foundation has installed a native plant demonstration “forest” at the Bette Davis Picnic area in Griffith Park.
This Miyiwaki forest is based on a model developed in Japan and is designed to fight climate change and restore the native ecosystem with the intensive planting of native plants and trees.
This is the first project of its kind in a Los Angeles city park and is part of the foundation’s Park Forest Initiative.
