Re “Former Hollywood High student leaves a legacy,” June 24 issue
What a beautiful article about Jack White. Though not famous like others whose hand and foot prints are in front of the Grauman’s Theatre, he certainly made quite a first, lasting and timeless impression on those he not only loved dearly, but with everyone he encountered. Jack was truly the kindest man and our family was blessed to know him for many decades.
Your piece captured his goodness and explained in more detail than I even realized how “music saved his life,” and how his memory, always a blessing, will continue for so many Hollywood High students to pursue their own passion for music in the future. He was blessed to live a life of goodness, talent, family, travels, gratitude and service.
Thank you for taking the time and space in your paper to honor Jack White. He may not have been a household name but he lived all the qualities one can only hope we all can possess and pass on to further generations.
In these times of such uncertainty, grief from so much loss, gratitude to (hopefully) beat this pandemic, it’s nice to open a paper, read about good people and honor their memory.
