The Board of Directors of the Rodeo Drive Committee announced on June 17 the election of Kathy Gohari as president, effective July 1.
“On behalf of the Rodeo Drive Committee Board of Directors, I am delighted to announce the election of Kathy Gohari as president,” outgoing President Nicola Cagliata said. “Her ongoing commitment and dedication to advancing the organization’s mission to support the interests of our members and of Rodeo Drive are unparalleled. She has forged enduring relationships with the city of Beverly Hills and our members and partners. We welcome her back again as president for a prosperous and exciting new term.”
Gohari’s involvement with the Rodeo Drive Committee spans more than two decades, during which time she served as president in 2017-18 and most recently as vice president, representing the interests of its members including retailers, hoteliers and landowners. She is a respected luxury expert and liaison to the city of Beverly Hills and serves as a member of the board of the Beverly Hills Conference and Visitors Bureau.
Among her duties as newly elected president, Gohari will lead a program of innovative and creative marketing initiatives to promote and enhance Rodeo Drive, and assemble and mentor a group of professional members with aspirations to lead the world-renowned, luxury retail destination into the future.
“Through my longtime involvement with the committee as past president and vice president, I am committed to ensuring the well-being of the street and the community surrounding it,” Gohari said. “My main goal during this new term is to form an executive board that I can prepare to continue the legacy of this remarkable and dynamic organization for years to come.”
Gohari has over 30 years of luxury experience on Rodeo Drive. The famed three-block stretch in Beverly Hills has remained a constant in her career, which includes positions at Valentino, Christian Lacroix, Giorgio Armani and Dolce & Gabbana. Gohari entered the world of luxury retail on Rodeo Drive while still in school at FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles.
