The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, city of Los Angeles, Music Center and Hanmi Bank are partnering with the Walgreens’ Mobile Bus Clinic to offer free COVID-19 vaccinations from June 24–27 in downtown Los Angeles. Walk-up appointments will be available; no appointments are necessary.
The vaccines are being offered during the Los Angeles stop on a nationwide tour to promote the importance of getting vaccinated. The program is focused on vaccinating vulnerable populations. The bus has space to vaccinate up to six patients at a time and will offer the Johnson and Johnson and Pfizer vaccines. Everyone ages 12 and older is welcome.
The first stop for the bus will be on June 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Music Center’s Walt Disney Concert Hall, 135 S. Grand Ave. The first day will emphasize vaccinations for L.A. County arts and cultural workers. During the mobile clinic, participants will enjoy free entertainment by Mariachi Arco Iris and pianist James Lent. The Music Center will also hold drawings for prizes including performance tickets and restaurant certificates for individuals who get vaccinated. The prize drawings are also open to previously vaccinated individuals who may enter by showing a completed vaccination card at the vaccination clinic.
The Walgreens mobile bus clinic will provide vaccinations at three additional locations. Each location will include free drawings, musical entertainment and food. On Friday, June 25, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Walgreens’ Mobile Bus Clinic will be at the Los Angeles Flower Market (Joe’s Auto Parts Parking Lot), 726 S. San Julian St. On Saturday, June 26, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., the bus will offer vaccinations at El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historic Monument, 125 Paseo de la Plaza; and on Sunday, June 27, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., the clinic will be held at the Santee Alley Hanmi Bank branch, 950 S. Los Angeles St.
