The Beverly Hills Police Department has arrested one of two female suspects wanted for an alleged strong-arm robbery on April 26 near the corner of Lasky and Moreno drives.
Two female juvenile victims called police at approximately 4:20 p.m. and told officers that two female suspects stole a gold necklace and attempted to steal a cell phone from them. The suspects fled with the necklace. Police said no weapons were used during the robbery.
The suspects’ vehicle was identified and after extensive investigation by BHPD detectives and the Crime Impact Team, one of the suspects was arrested on April 29 in the city of Compton. The suspect, Chakyra Sanford, 20, was charged with robbery and released on $50,000 bail.
Detectives also served a search warrant for the suspect’s car and home and recovered the necklace. Police are seeking leads to help identify the second suspect.
