U.S. Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Torrance) has announced that he is seeking a Gold Star Family Member for a full time, year-long paid fellowship in his Los Angeles District Office.
The Gold Star Family Fellowship Program was established by the U.S. House of Representatives during its last session to provide employment and career development opportunities for families of fallen service members. The individual selected will be involved with case work and will have field responsibilities, acting as a liaison between constituents and federal, state and local agencies. The district includes the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center, one of the nation’s largest VA hospitals.
“As an Air Force veteran, I’ve witnessed firsthand the duty, honor and commitment to country exemplified by current and former members of our military and their families,” Lieu said. “Military families, like their loved ones who serve, make incredible sacrifices in the name of patriotism and service to our country. I am pleased to welcome a Gold Star Family Fellow into my office.”
Applications will be accepted through July 30. For information, and applications, visit usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/600707600.
