Re “WeHo looking to curb fossil fuel gas stations,” May 13 issue
Commendations to the West Hollywood City Council in its efforts to encourage the use of renewable gas to replace fossil fuels for automobiles. Zero emission vehicles are the wave of the future – essential for the sake of our environment.
Furthermore, although fossil fuels are continually formed by natural processes, they are generally considered as non-renewable resources because they take millions of years to form, while known viable reserves are being depleted much faster than new ones are generated. The day will come when there is no more – despite the price escalation.

One hopes that Councilman John D’Amico, “who has driven an electric car for six years and has been an advocate for zero-emission, including attending conferences around the globe,” travels to such events with a light carbon footprint avoiding planes, trains and buses in favor of, perhaps, wind-driven sail boats?
