The state of California is joining with the California Fire Foundation to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by encouraging people to get vaccinated. Firefighters have been on the front lines of the pandemic since it began and they have seen the toll it has taken on communities, Gov Gavin Newsom said.
“We are proud of our ongoing partnership with California Fire Foundation to help put this pandemic in the rearview mirror. Our first responders put their lives on the line every day and have done that around the clock during the pandemic to keep our communities safe,” Newsom added.
Through the partnership, the California Fire Foundation produced two videos featuring firefighters discussing contracting COVID-19 and seeing the harm caused by the virus. The videos will run on the California Department of Public Health’s social media pages through June 30. For information, visit vaccinateall58.com.
