Hollywood Temple Beth El is holding a virtual discussion titled “Anti-Semitism Today” with Richard Hirschaut, of the American Jewish Committee, on Saturday, April 10, at noon, following services.

The event is being held for Yom HaShoah – Holocaust Remembrance Day. Rabbi Norbert Weinberg of Hollywood Temple Beth El will interview Hirschaut and focus on concerns about increased incidents of anti-Semitism and an effort to get the California Department of Education to remove anti-Semitic references in the ethnic studies curriculum. Hirschaut, director of the American Jewish Committee in Los Angeles, is a chief strategist and principal spokesperson in advancing AJC’s global advocacy. He has been involved with promoting civil rights and humanitarian and Jewish causes for more than 30 years.
