The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will honor actress and singer Rita Wilson with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the chamber’s virtual 2021 Installation Gala on Thursday, March 18. The evening will begin with a networking reception at 6 p.m., and the main program at 6:30 p.m.
The gala is a trifecta celebration honoring the chamber’s 100th anniversary and the Hollywood Walk of Fame’s 60th anniversary, as well as new members of the board. Business leader Nicole Mihalka will be the chairwoman of the chamber’s board for 2021-22. Los Angeles City Councilman Mitch O’Farrell, 13th District, will acknowledge the newly installed executive committee and the board of directors.
The chamber will also present the inaugural Tom LaBonge Community Spirit Award to Pink’s Hot Dogs, the Excellence in Business Award to AT&T, the Excellence in Leadership Award to Star Tomlinson, of The Drain Company; the Excellence in Service Award to the Hollywood Historic Trust; the Board Chair Award to Mark Echeverria, of the Musso and Frank Grill; and the President’s Award to Matt Fritch, of the MBS Group.
The gala will be hosted by Hollywood Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Rana Ghadban.
“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has navigated these unprecedented times and overcame the challenges we all faced this year with the support, dedication and leadership of our board of directors,” Ghadban said. “Our board has exemplified the definition of community leadership and has helped the chamber achieve many of its strategic goals this year in spite of the pandemic. As president and CEO, I am proud and honored to work alongside our incoming board and lead the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce into the next 100 years.”
