The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk began mailing vote-by-mail ballots to all registered voters for the March 2 Senate District 30 Special Primary Election and special elections at the beginning of this month.
The winner of the special election will replace Los Angeles County Supervisor Holly Mitchell, 2nd District, who won election to the Board of Supervisors in November. Candidates to replace Mitchell include Assemblywoman Sydney Kamlager (D-Culver City), Culver City Vice Mayor Daniel Lee, attorney Cheryl Turner, business consultant Tiffani Jones, entrepreneur Joe Lisuzzo, community organizer Ernesto Alexander Huerta and Air Force reserve Command Sgt. Major Renita Duncan.
A vote by mail ballot will be sent to every registered voter to ensure safe and accessible voting options during COVID-19.
Voters are encouraged to safely participate in this election returning their mail-in ballot early. There are several safe return options available, including by mail (no postage required), by dropping off at a ballot drop box or voting center, or by voting early in-person at the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk headquarters in Norwalk.
The RR/CC headquarters is located at 12400 Imperial Hwy., Norwalk. For information, visit lavote.net.
