The city of Beverly Hills will start phasing in a new daytime street sweeping schedule on Feb. 1 that will affect some residential streets.
The new daytime schedule aims to improve efficiency while minimizing disturbances resulting from street sweeping at night. Signs with the new hours will be installed in neighborhoods. Street sweeping will occur Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Specific times vary depending on the day and street.
The first phase of the program will begin in the neighborhoods between Wilshire and Olympic boulevards, and Moreno and El Camino drives. The first phase will serve as a pilot project before more widespread implementation occurs in the coming months. All residents in neighborhoods that will be affected will be notified by mail about the new schedule changes.
A town hall meeting on street sweeping will be held on April 7, at 6 p.m. For information and to view a map of neighborhoods in the first phase, visit beverlyhills.org/streetsweeping.
