Join chefs Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken of Socalo on Saturday, Dec. 5, along with the cast and creator of Netflix’s “Selena: The Series” for a multi-course Tex-Mex-themed dinner and discussion.
There is a two-ticket minimum per household, with a menu that includes guacamole and chips with salsa, avocado or shrimp campechana with house-made cocktail sauce, market field greens salad, chicken poblano or vegetable enchiladas, and sweet potato flan with caramel sauce.
Participants will listen to virtual conversations with the dynamic chefs and “Selena” creator Moises Zamora and actors Christian Serratos, Ricardo Chavira and Seidy Lopez. This event is hosted by L.A. Times writer Yvonne Villarreal. Tickets for each dinner event are $95 per person and include the five-course meal with a cocktail pairing provided by Beam Suntory. Guests will receive detailed instructions and designated time slots outlining when to pick up dinner packages prior to the scheduled online conversation experience with the chefs. Guests must be 21 or older and show I.D. Call for curbside pickup when you arrive.
The L.A. Times Dinner Series is presented by City National Bank and the dinner series benefits Project Angel Food, an organization that prepares and delivers healthy meals to feed people impacted by serious illness. Go to Eventbrite for tickets. 1920 Santa Monica Blvd., (310)451-1655.
