The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will hold its 2020 State of the Entertainment Industry Conference presented by Variety as a virtual event on Wednesday, Dec. 16.  The half-day conference will start with networking at 8:30 a.m., followed by a full program running through noon. 

Actress Eva Longoria and songwriter Diane Warren will be honored. Longoria will receive the 2020 Commitment to California Award for keeping projects in the state and generating business. The conference will include the presentation of the 2020 Music Icon Award and keynote conversation with Warren, whose songs have been featured in more than 100 movies, resulting in 11 Academy Award nominations.

The virtual conference also includes panel discussions, including “Succeeding in Entertainment Production During COVID” presented by FilmLA, and “Blazing the Trail in Diversity, Equality and Inclusion” hosted by the Southern California Gas Company.

“We are thrilled to have such incredible talent supporting our conference this year,” Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Rana Ghadban said. “Eva is not only an actor and producer, she is arguably one of most instrumental activists for the Latin community. Diane Warren continues to set records in the music and motion picture industry and now in music publishing. And, we could not ask for a better fit than Eugenio Derbez to present Meruelo Enterprises with our first-ever Excellence in Diversity Award.”
