Los Angeles Police Department traffic investigators are searching for a driver who struck and killed a woman in the Rampart area on Nov. 23.
A $50,000 was announced on Nov. 25 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case. The crime occurred in the 13th District, represented by Los Angeles City Councilman Mitch O’Farrell.
Witnesses told police that a tan, 4-door 2000 to 2010 Toyota Corolla was making a left turn onto westbound Miramar Street from northbound Union Avenue at approximately 5:55 a.m. when it struck the victim, Kuen Ham. The vehicle dragged the victim approximately 15 feet, police said. The driver fled the scene without stopping to render aid, which is required by law.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where she later died, police said. Video of the suspected vehicle can be viewed by visiting lapdonline.org.
