Find the perfect pumpkin and decorations for fall at Wilshire Rotary’s 14th Annual Pumpkin Patch at 568 N. Larchmont Blvd.
The pumpkin patch will be open from Saturday, Oct. 10, through Friday, Oct. 30, from 2 to 6 p.m. on weekdays, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. Visitors will find an assortment of pumpkins, squash and gourds, as well as fall décor. Proceeds benefit the Wilshire Rotary Foundation and the foundation of Rotary International.
Funds raised have been used for the organization’s community service projects including toys and equipment for visually impaired students at Van Ness Elementary School, and support for the Assistance League of Southern California’s Operation School Bell and the Salvation Army Red Shield Community Center west of downtown Los Angeles. Wendy Clifford, of Wilshire Rotary, said the pumpkin patch is an annual tradition.
“It’s a huge tradition for so many of our local families. It has really become a community event,” Clifford said. “There are a lot of local people who meet up there. It’s a neighborhood icon.”
Health and safety protocols will be strictly enforced at the pumpkin patch due to the pandemic. Masks are required and physical distancing must be maintained. Hand sanitizing stations will be offered and high-touch surfaces will be frequently disinfected, Clifford said.
Wilshire Rotary also operates a Christmas tree lot at the site, which will reopen on Nov. 28. For information, call (323)464-1935, or visit facebook.com/larchmontpumpkinpatch and wilshirerotary.org.
