The city of West Hollywood and its Disabilities Advisory Board are recognizing Disabilities Awareness Month, which is observed in October each year.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, landmark civil rights legislation that increases access and opportunity for people with disabilities in society and the workplace. The Disability Service Awards will honor essential workers who support people with disabilities during the coronavirus pandemic.
Members of the West Hollywood community are encouraged to nominate individual workers or groups of individuals for a Disability Service Award. Essential workers conduct many operations and services that are essential to critical infrastructure operations. For a list of eligible workers, visit covid19.ca.gov/essential-workforce.
