The city of West Hollywood issued a new order on Sept. 8 reopening West Hollywood Park and Plummer Park for public use by optional reservation.
Reservations are available at Plummer Park in the Vista Lawn and Fuller Lawn areas and at West Hollywood Park in the Great Lawn area. Visitors at Plummer Park and West Hollywood Park may also use non-reserved park areas without a reservation for passive recreation.
Reservations for park space must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Numbered spaces will be outlined in the grass and city staff will be available to assist users’ with finding spaces. Individuals can book a space for a two-hour period between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Reserving a park space is free.
Visitors at West Hollywood parks must comply with park guidelines including wearing masks or face coverings and adhering to physical distancing. Reservations may be made by visiting apm.activecommunities.com/weho.
Organized activities and group fitness classes, yoga instruction, dog training and personal training sessions are not permitted in all city parks. Playgrounds, bathrooms and water fountains remain closed.
Neighborhood parks and dog parks at West Hollywood Park and William S. Hart Dog Park remain open, subject to park users’ compliance with face covering and social distancing requirements. Park patrons are subject to administrative citation for not voluntarily using face coverings. Balls, toys and any other shared equipment are not permitted in the dog parks, and water stations remain closed.
Additionally, tennis courts at West Hollywood Park and Plummer Park remain open at. As with dog parks, city staff and sheriff’s department personnel will monitor adherence to requirements.
The city has also announced that the Helen Albert Certified Farmers’ Market will reopen on Monday, Sept. 14, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Plummer Park. New safety measures will be in effect. A “senior hour” will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. to allow customers 55 and older priority access to the market. Seniors may approach the front of the line near the entrance during that time.
The market is located at the north parking lot of Plummer Park at 1200 N. Vista St. All customers, vendors, and staff are required to wear protective face coverings.
