Re “LADOT opens application period for speed humps,” Sept. 10 issue

You posted about applying for speed bumps with LADOT. Where do I go to STOP speed bumps. Why do they make it easy for NIMBY people to get these and then everyone else has to deal with the consequences?

Everyone thinks that people go too fast on their block, but then it’s impossible to travel in an efficient manner. There is no real way to prevent these, as only the people on the block are aware of the proposed installations. Speed bumps just push traffic to neighboring streets. I doubt there is a need for 900 new speed bumps annually.
