On Sept. 17, the Greater Miracle Mile Chamber of Commerce’s virtual lunch will feature developer Wally Marks, who will discuss the Mirabel project at 5401 Wilshire Blvd. The project was approved by the Mid City West Community Council last month.
The Mirabel, a new 42-story, mixed-use building with up to 348 dwelling units and approximately 14,600 square feet of ground floor commercial, is expected to include 38 affordable dwelling units, including 29 dwelling units restricted at the very low-income level and nine units restricted at moderate-income.
The façade of the building – known as the Sontag Building – is currently occupied by Wilshire Beauty Supply at 5401 Wilshire Blvd. Wilshire Beauty Supply will move out, and the exterior will be rehabilitated and reconstructed as part of the project.
The format will include a 15- to 20-minute presentation, followed by a Q-and-A period.
