Wine dinner at Jane Q tonight
Executive chef Jeffrey Williams has partnered with Precept Wines to bring guests a safe and socially distanced wine-and-dine experience on the fifth floor Skyline Deck of the Kimpton Everly Hotel tonight at 7 p.m. A limited number of guests will be able to enjoy a four-course meal paired with a variety of Callaway Cellar Wines. Hollywood Bowl Supper to go
Tonight is the first night Angelenos can order Suzanne Goin’s famous seafood extravaganza for curbside contactless pickup in Lot A of the Hollywood Bowl. Suppers are available to go on Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 4 and 7 p.m. The seafood extravaganza for two people is $104, and includes Maryland crab cakes with Old Bay aioli, lobster rolls with Meyer lemon and herbs, spiced steamed shrimp with cocktail sauce, squash salad, coleslaw, potato salad and cornmeal shortcake with strawberries. Order in advance from on Postmates and Tock, and delivery is available. Other menu items include slow roasted Scottish salmon, tenderloin steak and barbecue to-go for two. Barnana and obé go bananas
Today, Aug. 27, health and fitness fans can “Go Bananas” during National Banana Lovers Day with a free virtual obé dance cardio class fitness class. Log onto obefitness.com. Duff’s Cupcake Kit
The do-it-yourself cake decorating studio Duff’s Cakemix founded by Food Network star, Duff Goldman, now offers DIY-at-home cake kits to pick up and bring home for a fun family project. These kits are great for birthday celebrations, family activity night and for those who want to make a cake and eat it too. Cake fans can order the Classic or the Unicorn. Both are 6-inch, three-layer cakes, and the Sixlet kit comes with six unfrosted chocolate and confetti cupcakes with three tubes of fondant in colors red, yellow and blue.
