Earlier this month, Lincoln Avenue Capital – an affordable housing developers, investor and operator – donated office furniture including conference room tables, desks and chairs, and computer monitors to several nonprofits in the community.
The supplies will go to six Los Angeles organizations that provide critical social services, including Para Los Niños, Bet Tzedek, Asian Americans Advancing Justice, Alliance for Children’s Rights, the People Concern and Inner City Law Center.
The furniture and supplies come from Lincoln Avenue Capital’s current office, as the organization prepares to move offices to another Los Angeles location.
“Lincoln Avenue Capital is committed to investing in communities, and particularly in Los Angeles, where we are headquartered,” CEO Jeremy Bronfman said. “We are proud to have donated furniture and technology to Los Angeles nonprofits that are making a deep impact in our community.”
“Lincoln Avenue Capital firmly believes that socially minded businesses have an important responsibility to be a good neighbor, especially during this challenging moment,” Managing Partner Eli Bronfman said. “We are committed to doing our part to support organizations in Los Angeles that are meeting critical needs in our city.”
One of the recipients, the People Concern, provides a fully integrated system of care – including outreach, interim housing, mental and medical health care, substance abuse services, domestic violence services, life skills and wellness programs, and permanent supportive housing – tailored to the unique needs of homeless individuals, survivors of domestic violence, challenged youth and others who have nowhere else to turn.
“We are grateful for the generous furniture donation from Lincoln Avenue Capital. This in-kind gift came at the perfect time as we are looking to refurnish our office space,” said Donna Miller, director of operations at the People Concern.
Para Los Niños, another recipient, is a nonprofit that fosters pathways to success through excellence in education, powerful families and strong communities for children and youth to thrive – and supports more than 6,000 children and families across 10 Los Angeles schools.
“Collaboration is at the core of our work at Para Los Niños, and having a space to propel this will allow us to best serve our children and families,” said Dan Nieman, vice president of external affairs at Para Los Niños. “We are grateful to Lincoln Avenue Capital for their donation and look forward to utilizing the conference table and chairs as soon as we return to the office.”
