The Los Angeles Unified School District has made its hour-long graduation special for students, families and members of the school community available for viewing on its website, lausd.net, and will rebroadcast the program on KLCS-TV at 7 a.m. on Sunday, June 21.

The graduation ceremony was originally broadcast on June 15 and honors nearly 30,000 graduates of the nation’s second-largest school district. It includes messages from LAUSD Superintendent Austin Beutner, the LAUSD Board of Education and Student Board Member Frances Suavillo, Gov. Gavin Newsom, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), musician Lil Jon, Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts, television host Ellen DeGeneres and other special guests.

“We hope all will join us for this special celebration of the scholars, athletes, artists and dreamers in the Class of 2020,” Beutner said.

“Congratulations to our L.A. Unified graduates,” Board Member Nick Melvoin added. “Your resilience gives us hope that the world’s challenges are no match for the class of 2020.”
