Since May is National Burger Month, the farm-fresh burger chain Farmer Boys has launched two charity initiatives: a Big Cheese burger-matching campaign in support of local hospitals, and a T-shirt fundraiser in partnership with Feeding America. Through Sunday, May 17, every Big Cheese burger purchased at Farmer Boys restaurants across L.A. County will be matched burger-for-burger and donated to local hospital workers working on the front lines. Also available for a limited time, Farmer Boys has introduced a T-shirt with the slogan “Do Good. Be Well. Be a Farmer,” available for purchase on their website. All proceeds from the T-shirt sales will be donated to Feeding America to support their efforts in helping those facing hunger and food insecurity. 5519 Hollywood Blvd., (323)466-0073; 726 S. Alameda St., (213)228-8999.
