A suspect who allegedly stole a car in Beverly Hills on April 4 and led officers on a pursuit into West Hollywood and Hollywood remains at large, police said.
The vehicle, a black Infiniti G35, was reported stolen at approximately 11 a.m. near Sunset Boulevard and Hillcrest Road. Officers located the vehicle 30 minutes later near Rodeo Drive and South Santa Monica Boulevard, said Lt. Elisabeth Albanese, with the Beverly Hills Police Department.
Officers attempted to pull over the driver, who sped away. Police followed the vehicle as it headed east into West Hollywood and the lost sight of the Infiniti near Vista Street and Santa Monica Boulevard. Sheriff’s authorities from West Hollywood and officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Division were notified. LAPD officers located the vehicle, which had been abandoned, around noon near Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea Avenue.
The suspect was described as a white man wearing an orange jacket. The case remains under investigation by detectives with the Hollywood Division, and no further information was available.
