While the Groundlings Theatre is currently closed for performances, the comedy theater company has been providing digital programming and entertainment to people at home through the Groundlings Podcast Network, and online improv and sketch classes with the Groundlings School.
The Groundlings will next provide an opportunity to watch performances of alumni from the comfort of their homes. Last October, the Groundlings celebrated its 45th anniversary with special performances of iconic sketches from unforgettable characters that originated at the theater. The public can watch the hilarious sketches by cast members from 2000-present on Vimeo On Demand.
The cost is $5 for a 24-hour rental period. The video will be available to rent from 3 p.m. on Friday, April 24 until 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 26. All proceeds will support the nonprofit Groundlings Theatre.
Main Company members and alumni featured in the video include Carrie Aizley, Jordan Black, Laurel Coppoc, Jim Cashman, Stephanie Courtney, Allison Dunbar, Nat Faxon, Will Forte, Andrew Friedman, Cheryl Hines, Roy Jenkins, Kevin Kirkpatrick, Steve Little, Jill Matson-Sachoff, Michael Naughton, Charlotte Newhouse, Brian Palermo, Jim Rash, Mitch Silpa and Christen Sussin.
