Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer announced criminal filings on April 14 against 10 non-essential businesses for allegedly operating after they were warned to close. The filings follow four additional cases Feuer’s office filed against businesses earlier this month
“The mayor’s ‘Safer at Home’ order is working,” Feuer said. “But all non-essential businesses need to comply, without exception. The sooner we achieve maximum compliance, from businesses and residents alike, the sooner all Angelenos can get back to work and resume our normal routines.”
The businesses that face charges include My Smoke Shop at 22876 W. Ventura Blvd., Studio City Smoke Shop at 11046 Ventura Blvd., Lincoln Tobacco at 608 Lincoln Blvd., Mike’s Smoke Shop at 12038 Burbank Blvd. and Drip N Vape at 23706 Victory Blvd.
Also charged were Bellagio Express Car Wash at 6344 Sepulveda Blvd., Spa Castle Massage at 19644 Sherman Way, Henney’s Printing at 4166 Verdugo Road, Vantage Green Professional Auto Detailing at 2700 N. Eastern Ave. and Discount Beauty Supply at 8600 South Hoover.
The four earlier cases were filed against Business Discount Electronics at 556 S. Broadway, Hot Box Smoke Shop at 9115 S. Western Ave., DTLA Smoke Shop at 223 1/2 W. Sixth St.; and Brother Shoes, 818 W. Slauson, Unit B.
