Re “L.A. city and county take extraordinary steps during coronavirus emergency,” March 19 issue

I commend you for keeping us so well-informed. Your news and reports on the coronavirus epidemic are invaluable. Learning of the impact on our local community – businesses, services and other changes – helps in our planning for shopping, entertainment, travel, etc. While the major newspapers provide world, national and some local news, the Park Labrea News and Beverly Press is better focused on our local issues, and also serves as a stimulus to our city leaders to take action.

Fact is, no one can know the extent of the disease unless we have the pertinent statistics.

Keep up the good work. I much appreciate your efforts.
