The Beverly Hills Police Department conducted a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint on Feb. 28 and officers arrested one person for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The checkpoint was held on Santa Monica Boulevard between Crescent and Canon drives from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Of the 1,172 cars that passed through the checkpoint, 266 vehicles were screened, two DUI investigations were conducted and one person was arrested. Two drivers were also cited for failing to have a driver license.
“We are committed to traffic safety and working in partnership with the Office of Traffic Safety to bring traffic enforcement and education to Beverly Hills,” BHPD Chief Sandra Spagnoli said.
