The Fillmore & Western Railway offers adventures for railroad enthusiasts and families on vintage trains traveling through Ventura County.
The four-hour “Saturday Weekend Scenic” vintage train rides travel to the historic city of Santa Paula. Visit the California Oil Museum, Ventura County Agricultural Museum and the Jeanette Cole Art Museum, and visit downtown shops, Garmin’s Irish Pub and the Glen Tavern Inn. Next stop is the “Loose Caboose,” where fresh produce, snacks and drinks are sold. Visitors can also enjoy koi, pigs, goats, love birds, geese and peacocks and shop at the country store and gift shop.
The “Sunday Scenic to Piru and Honey Farm” train rides offer three-hour adventures for families. Relax in vintage train cars while traveling through century-old citrus and avocado groves. Visit the Piru train depot, park and children’s playground. Taste and purchase honey at Bennett’s Honey Farm.
