Longtime Beverly Hills resident and Arent Fox LLP partner Jerry Abeles will serve as chairman of the Judicial Elections Evaluation Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Every two years, the Judicial Elections Evaluation Committee investigates and rates the qualifications of candidates for judges in Los Angeles County. The challenging task provides voters the information needed to make educated decisions on Election Day.

This year, the JEEC was tasked with evaluating 23 candidates for nine contested seats. The election is on March 3.

The committee rates candidates from exceptionally qualified to not qualified by investigating professional ability, experience, competence, integrity and judicial temperament.
